Introducing JAutosearch, a new search engine plugin from 'corePHP' that allows you to query results on your website in real time as visitors are typing into the search bar. JAutosearch will actively predict what the user is looking for and present a list of suggested keywords as well a quick pick of results based on the suggestions available.

JAutosearch offers a simple to install, yet enormously useful tool for your visitors, helping them find what they are looking for even if they might not know the proper terminology or keywords to use.

Normally, searching your website is one of the most resource intensive operations that Joomla! needs to perform. JAutosearch eliminates this operation by performing all processing off-site in our data center on our new search engine. In short, JAutosearch does not use any of your server resources to process a query. Also, due to the fact that it is highly likely that a visitor will find what they are looking for from the suggestions offered by JAutosearch, you should see an immediate reduction in search related processing on your server!

Simple Installation

Once installed, JAutosearch will automatically apply to the native Joomla! search module. If you are not using the native Joomla! search module, simply add the class or ID of the search module you are currently using into the configuration. When this step is completed, your chosen search module will be enhanced with JAutosearch.

Your users will never have to guess what they are looking for again! JAutosearch provides an accurate suggest system that points the user to exactly what they are looking for. If the user is vague, it will guide them with relevant suggestions designed to help them reach their destination.

Real Time Search Results

JAutosearch provides search term suggestions in real time as the user types. As the user adds characters into the search bar, the suggested results are updated accordingly.

JAutosearch Runs All Operations Offsite

Many Joomla! components use the standard Joomla! search, which can be heavy on server resources, especially for large sites. We took a brand new approach and created a product that performs its processing directly in our data center. This reduces the demand on your server and will result in faster processing.   • Themes: Instantly change the themes of JAutosearch.
  • Highlight Color: Define the color to highlight the link.
  • Width: Define the width of the JAutosearch output box.
  • Y-Direction: Define how the results will output. (Below or above the input box.)
  • Key-press Delay: Define the delay time until the user starts to see results.
  • Enable Caching: Define whether or not you want to cache your results.
  • Cache Lifetime: Define how long you would like to cache the results.
  • Search Input Selector: Define the search input box you want JAutosearch to load on.
